Negombo

As the fourth largest city in Sri Lanka, Negombo is a famous beach town that allows visitors ample space for rest and relaxation. This city is known for its centuries-old fishing industry and is full of beautiful beaches, refreshing breezes, and numerous holiday resorts varying from luxury to budget.

Kandy

Kandy is a large city in central Sri Lanka that is set on a plateau surrounded by mountains that is home to bio-diverse rainforests and tea plantations. This city holds the temple of the tooth relic which is a pilgrimage destination that is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Some of the main attractions here include royal botanic gardens, Kandy Lake, and the Udawatta Kele Sanctuary.

Jaffna

Known for its predominant Tamil population and recognised as the cultural capital of Tamils in Sri Lanka, Jaffna provides great hospitality to all its visitors. The city is full of unique cuisines, numerous Hindu temples, and crystal blue oceans. The Jaffna fort, Jaffna clock tower, Kadurugoda Vihara, the archeological museum of Jaffna, and the public library are some of the main attractions here.

Nuwara Eliya

Situated in central Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya is a city in the tea country hills. Nuwara Eliya shelters many waterfalls, and attractions such as Victoria Park, Ambewela farm, moon plains, botanical gardens, tea estates, and many more. It is the perfect destination to relax in cool weather.

Trincomalee

Known to be one of the most captivating destinations in Sri Lanka, Trincomalee is famous for its sapphire-blue harbour, powdery beaches, and Hindu culture. Due to the abundance of marine life including coral reefs, turtles, and sharks, Trincomalee consists of unique voyages and is popular for diving and snorkelling.

Sigiriya

Designated as a world heritage site, Sigiriya, also known as the lion rock or ancient rock fortress is a 200-meter rock with palace ruins at the top. This rock is surrounded by valuable remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. Sigiriya catches the attention of many for its mirror wall, valuable frescos as well as breathtaking views at the top.

Arugambay

Situated on the Southeast coast of Sri Lanka, Arugam Bay is traditionally dominated by fishing. Thanks to several quality breaks in the area, it is also popular for its surf tourism as well as the international surf competition venue. The local beaches, lagoons, historic temples, and the Kumana National Park are some of the main attractions here.

Colombo

Colombo is the commercial capital of Sri Lanka and consists of one of the largest artificial harbours in the world. Colombo presents numerous parks, important buildings built by the Dutch, and playing fields including Galle face green, Vihara Maha Devi Park, and the Colombo port city. It also has many sea bathing and surfing spots along with plenty of malls and places to eat.

Galle

Galle, formerly the island's capital during the Dutch rule consists of many colonial-era buildings of which some are UNESCO world heritage sites. The Galle Dutch fort, lighthouse, national maritime museum, clock tower, and numerous beaches including jungle beach and turtle hatcheries are some of the main attractions of this city.

Yala

Yala, known for its most visited and second-largest national park in the country is famous for its numerous wildlife species including leopards, elephants, and rare aquatic birds. Yala is also famous for its many camping spots, safaris, and unique resorts.
