Discover Bangkok’s royal heritage, sacred temples and famous waterways.


After breakfast, visit the magnificent Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, home of the Emerald Buddha.

Continue to Wat Pho, famous for its enormous Reclining Buddha.

Depending on your selected tier, the day also includes Chinatown, Wat Traimit and a long-tail boat journey through the Chao Phraya River and Bangkok’s canals, with a stop at Wat Arun.

Day 03

BANGKOK - KANCHANABURI | Markets & Historic Railway

Travel Time: Local touring


Leave Bangkok behind for colourful markets and the historic landscapes of Kanchanaburi.


Visit the famous Maeklong Railway Market, where stalls sit directly beside an active railway line.
 

Continue to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market for a boat journey through the canals.
 

After lunch, travel to Kanchanaburi and explore its World War II history, including the cemetery and railway museum.
 

Take a short journey on the historic railway through scenic countryside before transferring to your hotel.

After breakfast, visit spectacular Erawan National Park, home to its famous seven-tiered waterfall.

After lunch, continue to historic Ayutthaya.

Continue to beautiful Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, known for its mixture of Thai, European, Chinese and Khmer architecture.
 

Travel back to Bangkok for your flight to Chiang Rai.

Visit Chiang Rai’s local market before exploring Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Phra Singh.
 

Continue to Baan Dam – the Black House, the remarkable creation of Thai artist Thawan Duchanee.

Later, cruise along the Mae Kok River and experience the surrounding northern landscapes.
