Flights to Philippines

Philippines airlines have direct flights from Australia to the Philippines. However, there are many other international airlines that shuttle via transit airports, on a regular schedule. But if you dislike long transits, you can simply take a direct flight to the Philippines.

Visa requirements

You don’t need a visa to travel to the Philippines if you visit the country for travel purposes and plan on staying for only 30 days or less. However, it is mandatory that all travelers obtain a One Health Pass/Health Declaration Form to enter the country which was introduced due to COVID19. Travel Insurance

Travelers are no longer required to present travel insurance when visiting the Philippines. However, it is recommended that you have insurance in case of an emergency.

Climate & Weather 

The Philippines have a tropical and maritime climate that is characterized by high temperature, high humidity, and abundant rainfall. The country also has an average temperature of 24°C to 27°C with May being the hottest month and January being the coldest month.

Currency

The official currency of the Philippines is Peso (PHP). It's quite easy to exchange currencies in the Philippines as most transactions can be completed in major cities without carrying the local currency using your credit card. The modern Filipino culture developed from the influence of Spanish conquistadors, Chinese traders, and American rulers. The country also boasts of some of the simplest methods of cooking including grilling, boiling, stewing, and steaming. The main ingredient in any Filipino dish is steamed white rice which is combined with herbs and sauces and recycled for subsequent meals. Noodles, corn, and bread also play an important role in the Filipino diet because of their adaptability to different styles of cooking.
